Prayer ministry
Do you know people who just can’t break free from certain behaviors or patterns? Or people who are always surrounded by a dark cloud that seems to steal their joy? They may just be in your church.
People can be bound in different ways. This means that in certain areas there is no freedom to choose whether or not to do something. Free will is affected, and under pressure. Christians are no exception to this and can also suffer from this. The Bible teaches us that you can be bound in various ways.
· Bound by the power of sin.
· Bound by the power of lies.
· Bound by emotional ties.
We speak of bondage when you are attached to something from which or someone from whom you cannot break free. These can be sinful habits or addictions. But it can also be negative or destructive thought patterns or behaviors that you have become caught up in. It can also happen that you are emotionally attached to someone in an unhealthy way.
Maybe you’ve come to believe that you can never break free from the thing or the one you’re tied down to. In fact, maybe you’ve come to believe that it might be your own fault and you’re being convicted in your feeling or thoughts.
You should know that there is a biblical answer! Prayer ministry is aimed at setting you free from what you have become entangled in, what you’re stuck with and can’t seem to get rid of. It can also be about exposing the lies someone believes in.
2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. 4 The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. (That is: prayer).
Matthew 11:28: Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
